Ryan was born and raised in London, Ontario. He originally attended the University of Waterloo where he spent two years playing Varsity hockey for the Waterloo Warriors before transferring to the University of Western Ontario where he completed an Honours Bachelors degree in Geography, with a specialty in Environment and Resource Management. Ryan continued his studies at the University of Western Ontario where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree in 2004.

Ryan Articled with SKM before being called to the Bar in July 2005. After his call, Ryan joined the firm as an associate in the firm’s litigation department. His civil litigation practice includes a focus on debtor & creditor litigation, insurance subrogation and employment litigation. Ryan has appeared as counsel in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Ryan currently resides in London with his wife Jann, daughter Gabrielle and their two dogs, Jazz and Kyra.
