Mark was born and raised in Etobicoke, Ontario. After obtaining his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, he attended Osgoode Hall Law School where he obtained his Bachelor of Laws in 1989.
After articling in Toronto and being called to the bar in 1991, Mark moved to London and practiced at another London law firm until the year 2000. After that Mark was recruited to head the litigation department at Clarica Life Insurance Company where he remained until its merger with Sun Life. In 2003 Mark opened his own practice in the city of Sarnia, but moved back to London in 2005 and joined Szemenyei Kirwin Mackenzie LLP.
Mark practices exclusively in civil litigation focusing on personal injury claims, motor vehicle accident litigation, as well as construction liens and commercial disputes.
Mark has been active in the community of London, serving on the Board of Directors for Credit Counseling London, the Credit Institute of Canada and The London & District Construction Association. He has also coached minor league soccer and hockey both at the house league and competitive levels, where both his children Austin, Beth, Summer-Lynn & Erik have played.
