David was raised in Kitchener, Ontario. He attended the University of Waterloo where he completed an Honours degree in Sociology. David obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree at the University of Western Ontario in 2005.

Having articled with SKM before being called to the Bar in July 2006, after his call, David joined the firm as an associate in the firm’s litigation department. David has argued successfully in the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal as well as before various administrative tribunals.

David has volunteered and participated in various capacities to raise funds or awareness for many charitable organizations, including The Canadian Cancer Society, the Make a Wish Foundation and Crimestoppers amongst others.

David is a member of the London Squash Rackets Club and plays hockey as well as basketball and golf. He lives in London with his wife Maggie and their children.
